Retiq solution

This is a solution for barcode relabeling items that have already been labeled in the past.

This solution includes:
- the Retiq software with RetiqDesktop that installs on a Windows PC and can be started via a menu in the Inventif software and RetiqMob that installs on a Windows Mobile barcode terminal;
- a Windows Mobile barcode terminal;
- a mobile thermal transfer barcode labels printer;
- consumables for this printer (labels and resin ribbon).

Retiq is a software that allows to relabel items, that is to say to replace each label with a new one according to a relabel plan.
Before starting a relabeling campaign, a correspondence file between old codes and new codes has to be uploaded into the mobile terminal. In the field, when an old barcode is scanned, a label with the corresponding new code is printed onto a mobile printer. The operator can finally stick it as a replacement.

This product is out of stock and here is the reason. Zebra no longer sells the Zebra P4t printer. In addition, Zebra does not offer a portable thermal transfer printer to replace the P4t. This printer was the only one on the market offering this type of service. However, we think that the operation of relabeling a set of items is still an interesting problem to solve. This printer could be replaced by a Zebra Bluetooth printer equipped with a battery and transported on a trolley. On the other hand, the RetiqMob program has been written for Windows Mobile devices that are no longer available for sell on the new market, as this operating system was abandoned by Microsoft. However, RetiqMob is still installable on older terminals.
